OBEC has the unique capacity for delivering complex specialty civil engineering projects such as marine facilities, buildings, water tanks, and retaining walls. Public use facilities such as parking lots, boat ramps, fishing piers, and small building projects are also services we provide to many clients.
We work closely with public agencies to identify available funding sources for these types of projects and provide support during various application processes. Our design expertise is supported by integrating our expert environmental and construction engineering staff into the development process, helping to ensure constructable facilities that meet all relevant permitting requirements.
Because projects don’t stop when the main roadway or structure is designed, we provide engineering on every type of peripheral and specialty structure that may be needed on a transportation or municipal infrastructure project. Our expert staff provides industry-leading design, load rating, and seismic evaluation and retrofit of numerous specialty structure types, including sign bridges, monotube cantilevers, structure mounts, industrial buildings, retaining walls, sound walls, and an array of water-retaining structures.
