OBEC provided structural and seismic services for this $7 million project – Oregon City's largest water project in recent history.
The project included construction of a new 2 million gallon 119-foot-diameter strand-wrapped prestressed concrete tank and rehabilitation and seismic strengthening of an existing 10.5 million gallon cast-in-place concrete reservoir.
OBEC also performed foundation design for the new reservoir, accounting for existing site constraints including interaction with existing structures and drainage details.
The project improved the site's appearance and upgraded the site to meet current requirements for reliability, water quality, seismic design, maintenance functionality, and improved security.
Construction and start-up of the facility involved coordination with the operations of the South Fork Water Treatment Plant, which also supplies the City of West Linn and part of Clackamas River Water.
