OBEC's surveyors performed control network, topographic, and utility survey for Hayward Field's plaza and infield improvements prior to the 2008 Summer Olympic Trials. OBEC established a horizontal and vertical control network and prepared the final topographic survey and DTM file that aided designers in adding permanent lighting, a new scoreboard, a redesigned infield, and updated entrance that cemented Hayward's reputation as a world-class, premier track and field facility.
