Ridgewood View Park Reservoir
OBEC served as a specialty structural engineer for the design and construction of the eight million gallon Ridgewood View Park Reservoir and Pump Station. OBEC was the lead designer for the partially buried pump station and was trusted to provide peer review and quality assurance on the irregularly shaped buried concrete reservoir. OBEC worked closely with the geotechnical engineer on this project to design temporary shoring and soil nail walls that permitted construction on the highly constrained urban site.
- OBEC provided conceptual design and preliminary cost evaluations of one new reservoir configuration not previously considered, and reassessment of two reservoir configurations to provide the Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) a comprehensive alternatives analysis. The results of this analysis assisted TVWD in selecting an overall development strategy that best balanced total cost and schedule risks, storage capacity, and other factors
